Digital Content Specialist

A highly flexible and growing SaaS company in the emerging cannabis industry is seeking a Digital Content Specialist to help the company elevate its brand to the next level, inform and execute on the company’s digital and traditional marketing strategy, and join a team of highly motivated self-starters in the Denver Tech Center. This individual will be responsible for executing on the company’s marketing strategies, informing new ideas, guiding decision-making, and helping bolster the company brand, product offerings, and people. Core Competencies:

  • Experience working in various digital platforms including, or similar to:
  • WordPress or similar CMS’s (drupal, custom CMS, or something equivalent)
  • Constant Contact or similar CRM tools
  • Survey Monkey or similar data collection tools
  • Basic knowledge of;
  • Social Media marketing and best practices
  • Google Analytics
  • PPC for social, search
  • SEO best practices
  • Strong understanding of email marketing and Customer Relationship Management

Job Functions

  • Assist in the development and execution of the company’s email programs including external/internal newsletters, ongoing customer communications strategy, and identify new opportunities via our existing email channels
  • Provide original ideas for content development on blogs and earned media placements
  • Assist in content development and posting responsibilities for company blog
  • Serve as an advocate for customers and identify ways to improve customer experience
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments relevant to customers, company, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Manage company social media accounts
  • Assist in the ongoing analysis and reporting on various analytics including email program, website traffic, and customer journey
  • Implement customer journey map with key data collection points and marketing automation
  • Keyword analysis for ongoing SEO optimization of all site and blog content
  • Develop and manage customer outreach/engagement strategy
  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance and improvements to the company’s web properties, such as biotrack.com
  • Facilitate marketing materials for company events and sponsorships

Requirements of the Role:

  • 1-3 years of related experience, ideally in a digital-first role
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, or as part of a team
  • Self-starter – You prefer to pick up the ball and run with it; we don’t like to micromanage!
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture
  • Attend events and represent the company, products, and brand
  • Work closely with other departments to provide resources they need to enhance customer experience
  • Have a conversational knowledge of the BioTrackTHC Software within 1 month of starting
  • Assist with customer retention, customer experience, and brand reputation
  • Must have reliable means of transportation
  • Travel up to 15% of the time (tradeshows, events)
  • Experience using MS Office, Google Suite
  • Strong desire to join the growing cannabis industry
  • Marketing Automation Experience a plus
  • SalesForce Experience is a plus
  • HTML/CSS Knowledge is a plus
  • AdWords/Analytics Certifications are a plus
  • Agency Experience is a plus
  • Adobe Experience is a plus
