Responsibilities

Reporting to the CEO, the Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring the entire logistics chain to ensure support of the customer while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The Inventory Analyst must be able to anticipate the rate of sale for each type of product offered by our business. Responsible for ensuring that our inventory levels meet our projected sales demands. Daily duties may include writing inventory reports, performing cycle counts, researching past sales trends and staying informed of current sales trends that may influence inventory demand. Oversee the level of incoming products to ensure that it stays balanced with the level of outgoing products. You may also be in charge of performing yearly audit functions and proving that all products were bought and sold in compliance with rules and regulations.

Duties include:

  • Develop, implement and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely
  • Coordinate a cycle count program in a perpetual inventory environment
  • Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions
  • Make recommendations for process and procedure changes required to improve overall supply chain efficiency
  • Ensure accurate material status is relayed to customer and site representative in a timely and accurate manner
  • Executes inventory transfers; manages and executes purchase orders; review and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Manage and reconcile vendor open purchase order report
  • Work closely with Retail Manager to analyze inventory levels and sales
  • Oversee inventory team. Be a mentor and teacher for this team
  • Ensures compliance within corporate policies
  • Supports compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures and safety rules
  • Ensures proper classification and storage of all inventory
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with distribution and inventory associates

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
  • Prefer 5 years or more of supply chain/inventory experience
  • Excellent computer, mathematical, language, problem solving and reasoning skills
  • Previous experience in retail or inventory management
  • Great communication skills (oral and written)
  • Auditing experience
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly-changing working environments, deadlines and working conditions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Motivation: must maintain a positive attitude and strong work energy
